Time for our traditional Greeting Seasons post of the year  !

Our Best wishes for 2023…

Year 2021 was a difficult year and we were hoping to have a shiny year 2022.  The year 2022 was really challenging and the energy crisis didn’t help.   Work wise was not easy and private life was impacted with all the price increase we are facing….We really hope that 2023 will be the year that will help us moving forward on a positive track and we hope for more bright days… 

We would like to take the opportunity to thank all the people who have followed us during 2022 and provided feedback, shared their comments and technical info, remarks that helped us improved proposed solutions.   Thank you also to all the people that have been supporting us and helping us in improving the information provided through this blog.

We would like also to thank our customers and partners for the trust and confidence they have placed in us and to and helped us in providing high quality work….considering the really difficult situation during this year 2022.  

We would like to present our best wishes to all of you for this new year 2023.  We hope that the coming year will be a more peaceful year…

Quick Look back at 2022…

In 2022, we have been struggling with a lot of projects and this impacted our capability to publish all the posts we would have loved to post….Even do, it was not easy, we managed to publish some posts during this year. We have been working on 

•  Our famous xrdp-installer.  Through the year,  we have been publishing and releasing incremental version of our famous xrdp-installer script. Each version included either support to the Interim Release of Ubuntu OS or included some improvements.  The latest version (version 1.4.5) has been released recently.  A lot of minor improvements have been included which makes the script really useful and stable.  Thank you to all our readers for their feedback in order to improve and adapt the script as required
• We managed to update the Change GDM Background script which help users customizing even further the look’n feel of their Ubuntu Operating system. This is really a free utility that we created for fun and nowadays we are simply trying to maintain it and follow the Ubuntu release cycle…
• We have been writing about the Nextcloud software solution.  Surprisingly, this post has received good comments and a lot of people have been asking about the solution.  We are planning to deploy it internally in our organization and use it as a collaboration solution. 
• Finally, we covered some other software such as Cockpit or Windows 2022 Server and some scripting solutions.  

What to expect in 2023…..

In 2023, we will continue on blogging about Ubuntu and xrdp solution.  Since we are busy with some heavy projects lately around Windows and VMware technology, you might expect to see more posts about these technologies.  More and more customers are looking into Linux solution and how to integrate such solution in their existing “windows” infrastructure.  So, possibly, next year, you might see a bunch of posts about interoperability between Linux and Windows.  One request that comes on a regular base is about ansible technology. So, we might start writing about this one as well….   

We do not have yet a roadmap for the coming year….but we think that it will be again a busy one with a lot of new challenges….So, stay tuned 

Final Notes

As you can see, there is still a lot to do and a lot to speak about but some little time available.  We will try to enjoy the short holidays to rest and come back with some news posts, ideas and some free tools or scripts…  This is it for this post !
